ABERCROMBIE, N.D. — Traffic is picking up in rural Richland County as work gets underway on a massive new dairy farm.
Neighbors say the extra trucks and equipment are adding to congestion already caused by harvest season. Riverview Farms is also planning an even larger dairy farm near Hillsboro.
On Richland County Road 8, traffic has been steady as beet harvest continues. But there are also additional trucks and heavy equipment tied to construction of the new dairy farm.
"Here comes another one. It's just nuts," said Ivy Engh, who lives near the Abercrombie site.
When WDAY News last visited the site in late September , it was just an empty field. Now, ground has been broken and dozens of trucks and machines are at work.
Engh said she and other neighbors are skeptical of the project
