FARGO — PBS President Paula Kerger and Prairie Public CEO John Harris spoke to a group in Fargo on Thursday, Oct. 2, about the current state of public media.

They were invited to the Sanctuary Events Center in Fargo to discuss “The State of the Station,” outlining what’s next for the future of public media after the loss of federal funding, which has led to a 25% drop in revenue for the organization.

Kerger said there will be challenges ahead for PBS and National Public Radio broadcasting but emphasized that won’t stop them from continuing to serve the community.
