HAMPTON, Va. — Quarterback Antoine Richardson scored four touchdowns as Highland Springs rolled past Phoebus, 28-0, Thursday night at Darling Stadium.
Richardson ran for three scores and threw for another as the Springers (3-2) delivered the Phantoms their second consecutive loss — a rare occurrence for one of Hampton Roads’ powerhouse programs.
Phoebus, playing without starting quarterback Maurikus Banks — an Old Dominion commit sidelined with an injury — turned to junior Matteo Radcliff to lead the offense. The Phantoms (2-2), the reigning 5-time state champions, were denied in the red zone and shut out for the first time since 2021 against Oscar Smith.
Highland Springs built a 14-0 halftime lead behind Richardson’s 34-yard touchdown strike to Jalen Padmore and his own 15-yard run. He
