Prince William has seemingly broken his silence on his rift with Prince Harry, calling the strain "overwhelming" in what's being described as his most candid interview to date.

The 43-year-old future Prince of Wales sat down with comedian Eugene Levy for an episode of The Reluctant Traveller, where he spoke openly about family pressures, royal tradition and the changes he hopes to make when he takes the throne.

"Stuff to do with family overwhelms me, quite a bit," William confessed.

"You know, worry or stress around the family side of things that does overwhelm me quite a bit… When it's to do with family and things like that, then that's where I start getting a bit overwhelmed. As I think most people would, it's more about feeling, it's more about upsetting the rhythm."
