In a robust operation aimed at reducing harmful emissions during the festive season, Delhi Police have confiscated over 4,600 kilograms of illegal firecrackers across the capital. Officials revealed the arrests of ten individuals as the government enacts a stringent ban to control pollution levels, aligning with Supreme Court guidelines.

The most significant seizure occurred on September 25 in the Vishal Enclave area, with police recovering 3,580.4 kilograms from a residence. A family was arrested for allegedly hoarding the firecrackers, which were reportedly procured for sale from neighboring cities. This initiative follows multiple recoveries throughout September, highlighting a persistent illegal trade.
