NEW YORK (PIX11) — From New York to New Jersey, Taylor Swift fans across the tristate area anticipated the release of her new album at midnight Friday.

Eager Taylor Swift fans wrapped around the block on West 27th Street near 11th Avenue waiting for a chance to step inside The Life of a Showgirl: A Spotify Experience — a pop-up celebrating Swift’s midnight album release. Swifties like Stephanie Nivellini stood in line for more than two hours, hoping to experience her favorite artist since childhood.

“I was super excited that there was actually something like this that was free to attend,” Nivellini said.

She added, “When I was younger, I looked up to her, and growing up, I feel like her songs were so relatable for so many different reasons, every stage of life.”
