Met Office issues 19-hour weather warning as Storm Amy unleashes 65mph winds View Image

The Met Office has issued a wind warning for the entire South West ahead of Storm Amy.

The storm, which is expected to wreak havoc across the country this weekend, will bring very strong winds and heavy rainfall, causing travel disruption, potentially flooding and power outages.

The Exeter-based forecaster has predicted windspeeds of up to 65mph along coastlines, with western regions particularly affected.

The yellow warning will be in effect at 12am on Saturday, October 4, and will end at 7pm.
