The family of a man who launched a knife attack at a synagogue before being fatally shot by police has released a statement. Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, was identified as the assailant who drove into a crowd outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in north Manchester and stabbed a man.
