MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis man spent more than a decade in prison after being convicted of drug distribution.
Now, he has his own moving company and is helping other convicts re-enter society.
Jessie Tharpe is the owner of Goldmouth's Affordable Moving, and he prides himself on helping people in Memphis and giving back.
In 2003, he went to prison for drug distribution. He served 15 years behind bars.
Tharpe told FOX13 that his first day in prison changed his entire outlook on life. He was released in 2018. Within a month of his release, he landed two jobs — one at FedEx, the other with U-Haul.
He said his job at U-Haul was where he discovered his love of helping people.
After six months of working, Tharpe saved enough money to start his own company, Goldmouth's Affordable Moving. Sin
