KENTUCKY. (WSAZ) - Starting in mid-October, drivers in Kentucky will need to keep a closer eye on work zone speed limits.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that staff have placed the first cameras as part of an effort to increase safety in highway construction zones.
Over the next couple of weeks, the final cameras and signs will be up and enforcement will follow soon after.
Not every work zone will have these cameras yet, but drivers in counties like Fayette, Laurel, and Whitley should be prepared to see some changes in the next few weeks.
