PAOLI, Ind. — Residents and businesses in Paoli, Indiana, are being advised to prepare for a boil water advisory lasting two to four days, starting October 14, as Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District plans preventative maintenance on the town’s water lines.

The advisory is expected to affect daily water use for homes and businesses, and it’s already causing concern among local restaurant owners.

“It’s kind of like a race to the clock with everybody else in the business,” said Chrissy Evans, general manager of The Super Burger, a Paoli staple since 1974. “We have to rush to Walmart, try to find ice, and go to different stores to get the proper products.”

Evans said past boil advisories took a significant financial toll on her business.
