Overnight, temperatures have dipped into the 50s and lower 60s across the Albuquerque Metro Area. Today, another the stretch of warmth continues across the state with temperatures in Albuquerque expected to rise in the 80s. As we head into the afternoon windy conditions are expected to pick up from an approaching low-pressure system. This afternoon and evening wind gusts may reach into the 20-30 mph+ range across New Mexico. Winds may further increase into Saturday for a windy day across the state with wind gusts that may reach 40mph in a few isolated spots.
That same low pressure will also put rain chances back into New Mexico and southern Colorado. Showers and storms will primarily be off to southern Colorado and counties in northwestern New Mexico on Friday. Spotty to isolated showers
