Emergency services have rushed to a busy Midlothian road in response to an ongoing "incident".

The incident took place on Elm Row in Lasswade, just outside Bonnyrigg, around 12pm on Friday, October 3. Buses have been diverted from the area.

An image from the scene showed multiple police vehicles and what appeared to be a fire engine on the scene as the junction is blocked off.

Cars also stopped as emergency service personnel dealt with an incident. A white Audi can also be seen parked at the side of the road in what has reportedly been a crash.
