The Department for Work and Pensions has handed a major boost to people who claim Disability Living Allowance. The DWP has confirmed the wait time in decisions on DLA is being reduced through its hard work.

In the Commons this week, Julia Buckley, a Labour Party MP for Shrewsbury, reached out "to ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what steps she is taking to help reduce the delays in decisions on Disability Living Allowance claims."

Labour MP and DWP chief Sir Stephen Timms said: "We have seen unprecedented demand in new claims to the DLA Child service line. Additional resources have been deployed, and cases are cleared in date order to ensure fair customer service.
