PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Two drivers are hospitalized after a Pitt County crash ended with one car flipped over Friday morning.

The Highway Patrol says it happened around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Moye-Turnage Road and Wesley Church Road, outside of Farmville.

A gray vehicle was heading north on Wesley Church Road, according to troopers, while a white vehicle was going east on Moye-Turnage Road.

According to the Highway Patrol, witnesses said the white vehicle ran a red light and hit the other vehicle, causing it to overturn.

Each vehicle only had its driver inside and troopers say both were taken to ECU Health Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Highway Patrol tells WITN the investigation is still active and charges are pending.
