PARMA, Ohio -- For the third time in the last year, Parma City Schools has a new money operating levy on the ballot.

However, what’s unique this time is the district, through a $10,000 donation from the nonprofit Parma Partners In Education group, is hiring the services of Support Ohio Schools.

“The approach is a little different this year in terms of the structure,” said Parma City Schools Superintendent Scott Hunt, who took over this summer. “We do have a steering committee that is working on strategy with Support Ohio Schools.

“What they provide for us is marketing, voter modeling and voter data. The value of that group is they’ll stick with us until we pass a levy.”
