A 27-year-old Montreal man has been charged by Guelph police after sex-trafficking a woman through a hotel in the north-end of the city.
Guelph police said they had begun conducting regular patrols at the hotel and started an investigating in September when an 18-year-old Quebec woman told officers she had been recruited into the sex trade after travelling to Toronto to meet a man.
Over the following months, she had been taken to multiple cities throughout Quebec and Ontario to perform sex acts.
On Sept. 25, the man was found in Quebec and arrested by Laval police, based on an outstanding warrant issued by Guelph police.
