Returning with a chilling new series, Netflix's Monster recalls the crimes of Ed Gein, one of America's most notorious serial killers and body snatchers. Following Gein's highly publicised trial in 1957, Gein went on to inspire the character of Norman Bates in Robert Bloch's 1959 novel, Psycho , not to mention Alfred Hitchcock's film adaptation.
