SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield police are investigating a bank robbery at O'Bannon Bank on Sunshine Street Friday morning, marking the second robbery at the branch this year.

According to the Springfield Police Department, at around 11:05 a.m., officers were sent to 3120 E. Sunshine Street for a reported bank robbery.

During the robbery, a man entered O'Bannon Bank and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money, Swaters says.

There are no known weapons or injuries reported at this time.

Friday’s incident is the second time the O’Bannon Bank branch has been robbed in 2025. The earlier robbery occurred in January.

The investigation remains active, and police have not released a description of the suspect.
