The countdown to Burning Man 2026 has begun.

Burning Man announced its 2026 theme on Friday: “Axis Mundi,” which loosely means the symbolic center of the world.

“The 2026 theme is an invitation to participate, connect, and live the shared ethos of Burning Man, including in Black Rock City 2026 and all around the world,” Burning Man said in a press announcement.

“Burning Man is a powerful unifying force,” said Stuart Mangrum of Burning Man’s philosophical center. “Axis Mundi reflects that, and celebrates the ways we are creating a new social reality fueled by creativity, generosity, inclusivity, and everything else that’s implicit in our principles.”
