SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The City of Sioux Falls is hosting its 16th annual Paint the Plow event on Saturday, October 11!

The Paint the Plow program, hosted by the Public Works Street Division, invites young artists in Sioux Falls to decorate snowplows before winter.

Groups like schools, after-school programs, preschools, daycares, sports teams, and nonprofits can participate.

Over 25 groups are painting a plow this year.

The event ends with a public viewing and voting, with winners displayed in the Downtown Sioux Falls Parade of Lights on November 28.

Youth participants can enter to win a snowplow ride to school.

Previously held at the Levitt parking lot downtown, the event moved to the Great Plains Zoo’s parking lot due to construction.
