HARTFORD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The City of Hartford announced the grand opening of its new Water Resource Recovery Facility, officially opening on Friday, Oct. 3.

Planning for the facility began in 2017, and construction officially started in 2023.

According to the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance, the new facility hopes to be a “new, modern building to “ensure efficient and environmentally sound water resource recovery for years to come. ”
