PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A garage fire in Peoria caused an estimated $10,000 in damage Friday morning.

At 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, firefighters with the Peoria Fire Department went to 6328 N. Field Tree Court for the report of a residential structure fire, said Battalion Chief Steve Rada.

Arriving crews found smoke in the garage and smoldering items. Someone who was working on the house said he saw the smoke when he went to the home.

The fire was contained to the garage. An investigator determined the fire to be accidental.

Rada said no injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $10,000.
