GOODYEAR, AZ (AZFamily) — One person has been arrested after an animal abuse investigation led authorities to seize six large dogs at a Goodyear home on Friday morning.

Goodyear police launched the investigation after a video began circulating online this week, appearing to show animal cruelty. Details of what the video showed were not provided by authorities.

Alongside Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies, police officers served a search warrant at a house at an undisclosed location in Goodyear. The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Stephen Hunter, was arrested, and six Cane Corso dogs were seized.

The dogs were taken to a veterinary hospital to be checked out. Photos posted to Goodyear PD’s X account showed authorities carrying large dog crates out of the home.
