SCHENECTADY, N.Y (NEWS10) -- The downtown Schenectady area celebrated the opening of a new fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant on Nott Terrace. Zaffron Kitchen is expanding into Schenectady, bringing healthy and flavorful food to residents.

From chicken and lamb kebab bowls to baklava, the eatery also serves cuisines from Afghanistan and Turkey. Owner Nore Osmani and his wife Noria have another Zaffron Kitchen location in Latham that opened two years ago, bringing another location to Schenectady because the atmosphere was a perfect fit.

"We love to cook with our families and friends around, so we decided to share the same passion with hospitality and see joy as food brings people together," Nore Osmani said.
