SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- When the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take the field on Oct. 4 at Notre Dame Stadium, it will already be a historic event.

When the Irish host the Boise State Broncos in the game, it will be the first meeting between the two schools, and the first time Notre Dame Football will play a school from Idaho.

However, the weather could try to share in the history.

Typically, in early October, fans can expect the leaves to be changing colors and fall-like conditions.

Surprisingly, the ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Team is forecasting a high temperature of 87 for Saturday in South Bend. If temperatures eclipse 85 degrees, it will make it the warmest October gameday ever at Notre Dame Stadium.
