After a revitalization of two fan favorites this summer, KFC is bringing back yet another classic menu item: Original Honey BBQ sauce returns on Monday, Oct 6.

"KFC’s Original Honey BBQ wasn’t just a menu offering, it became a cultural touchstone that fans have been craving and asking us to bring back for years," U.S. KFC President Catherine Tan-Gillespie said in a news release.

KFC introduced its Original Honey BBQ sauce in the late '90s, and it became a "cult classic," a news release states. The sauce notably led KFC to create and distribute wet napkins, as the sauce can do a number on fingers, chins and the occasional white shirt.

In August, KFC brought back its potato wedges and hot and spicy wings after a high demand. Both items remain on the menu.
