Nathan Kimsey made history with a staggering nine straight birdies at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

In doing so, Kimsey joined Matt Wallace and James Nitties as the only players to manage the impressive achievement.

Nitties set the new record back in 2019 at the ISPS Handa Vic Open, before Wallace recorded the same achievement at the 2023 DP World Tour Championship.

After carding an opening round 71 at Kingsbarns Golf Links on Thursday, the 32-year-old immediately got off to a strong start on the Old Course.
