After a two-year hiatus , the return of Give More 24! raised $2.3 million Sept. 25 for 180 nonprofits across Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties.

From midnight to midnight, more than 4,600 donors supported a variety of causes such as health care, housing, arts, animal welfare and more. By 10 a.m., the online fundraising marathon organized by the Greater Vancouver Chamber had already received $1 million in donations. By 10 p.m., it hit the $2 million mark.

“Give More 24! is about more than raising dollars. It’s about strengthening the bonds that make Southwest Washington such a remarkable place to live and work,” John McDonagh, president and CEO of the Greater Vancouver Chamber, said in a news release.
