QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:

After another mostly clear night with lows in the mid and upper 50s to low 60s, the weekend will bring sun, a few clouds, and more warm temperatures around 90 for most parts of the QCA!

Monday and Tuesday there will finally be some rain chances, although they’ll be slight. This will also mark the return of highs in the 70s. Some areas could see nearly and inch of rain over the weekend as Monday brings some thunder potential and Tuesday brings more showery type rain.

Behind this system we could see highs limited to the upper 60s Wednesday with 70s returning Thursday as another area of dry, sunny high pressure arrives from Canada. Friday, there is another slight chance for some raindrops.
