MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Governor Lee has announced that applications for $175 million in grant funds towards public safety in Tennessee are now open, and he encourages local officials and law enforcement to apply.

The application process began today for two grant funds, one being for the $75 million Violent Crime Intervention Fund and the other being the new $100 million Downtown Public Safety Grant Fund. Both funds totaling to $175 million for public safety across the state.
