MORRISON, Ill. — A police chase of a stolen Whiteside County minivan ended abruptly on Friday.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, a Whiteside County Sheriff's Deputy saw a white minivan speeding out of a parking lot in Morrison onto US Route 30. The minivan started driving eastbound while passing multiple vehicles on Route 30.
The Deputy tried to pull the minivan over, but its driver did not yield and kept going east at a high speed.
When the minivan approached the intersection of Lyndon Road, it made a quick U-turn and started driving westbound on Route 30. The driver was swerving from side to side and endangering other cars. After the driver re-entered Morrison, the Deputy stopped chasing.
