Edmonton police made no legal errors in firing an officer who sold steroids to his coworkers, an appeal board has found.
Late last month, the Law Enforcement Review Board (LERB) upheld the Edmonton Police Service’s decision to fire Greg Lewis, a former detective and one of two officers criminally charged in the service’s steroid scandal.
Lewis was convicted in 2018 of two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, including the anabolic steroids Winstrol and Dianabol. He was later fired after being found guilty of five offences under the Police Act.
