A Middlesbrough man has appeared before court charged with stabbing a man at Flamingo Land.

Joshua Donnelly, 22, was charged with Section 18 wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place following the incident at the adventure park at Kirby Misperton, near Malton, on September 18.

Donnelly, of Duxford Road, Middlesbrough , appeared at York Magistrates' Court on September 20 where he was remanded into custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at York Crown Court on October 17, 2025 at 10.30am.

North Yorkshire Police previously said the alleged incident took place at around 1am and that the victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital. A spokesperson for the force said: "The victim has been discharged from hospital."
