BUCKSPORT -- The summer tourist season may be over, but Bucksport is just starting to get busy as new businesses and amenities open in the town.
One of those is a new and fully accessible playground that locals hope will draw families from all over the area.
"There's not many communities with an ADA playground," said Bucksport's Community and Economic Development Director Rich Rotella. "Our expectation is to draw people from the Belfast area, the Ellsworth area, the Bangor area to our community to utilize the playground."
Two new restaurants are also arriving in the town, after closures earlier in the year. Taking over the M acLeod's spot downtown is Stowaway's Town Tavern, which opened Friday and has seen no shortage of patrons.
