ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Sixteen different parks throughout Albany County will be getting upgrades thanks to funding awarded by the Albany County Legislature.

Over $225,000 will be distributed to enhance, develop, and upgrade city, town, and village-owned parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities throughout the county.

Awardees are: • City of Albany – Elizabeth Street Park • City of Albany/Upper Madison Group – Upper Madison Parks • City of Cohoes – Van Schaick Island Park • City of Cohoes – Veteran Memorial Park • City of Watervliet – Brotherhood Park, Clinton Park, 7th Street Park • Town of Berne – Town Park • Town of Bethlehem – Historic Heath Farm • Town of Coeymans – Riverfront Park at Coeymans Landing • Town of Guilderland – Tawasentha Park • Town of Weste
