NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Nashville Pride is facing a major financial challenge after several sponsors pulled their support earlier this summer, leaving the organization with a 40% budget deficit just weeks before this year’s festival.
Now, organizers are turning to the community to help bridge the gap. A benefit concert called “Get Out, Get Loud” is set for Sunday night at Marathon Music Works, with proceeds going toward keeping Nashville Pride afloat.
“We’re trying to cover that so we can keep putting on Nashville pride for the community, and it also helps us do events year-long, all year long, and make safe spaces and do things to help the community,” said Nashville Pride President Tina Tousignant.
