Reports emerged of multiple immigration raids on Friday on Chicago's Northwest Side, including one in which tear gas was deployed by an agent near a grocery store and a school.
Four hours early Friday, ICE activity was reported, and choppers circled the city's Logan Square neighborhood. Just before noon, witnesses told NBC Chicago an unmarked vehicle approached a Hispanic grocery store, Rico Fresh Market, 3552 W. Armitage Ave.
People began to yell at federal agents; a scooter then got in front of the SUV as neighbors began recording on cell phones.
