A Tucson man was among those suspected to have been detained by the Israeli military as he was trying to reach Gaza on a flotilla aid boat.

Logan Hollarsmith of Tucson was on the Ohwayla, a vessel carrying civilians and military veterans aiming to deliver aid to Gaza, according to an Instagram post from Vets About Face, an organization of anti-war military service members.

In 2019, United States Federal prosecutors dropped criminal misdemeanor charges against Hollarsmith and three other No More Deaths volunteers, according to the District of Arizona U.S. Attorney's Office.

No More Deaths, an organization that tracks migrant deaths and provides humanitarian assistance to migrants, was unavailable to comment on Hollarsmith's detention.
