BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Above normal temperatures in the fall are becoming more common, with the past few weeks being the most recent example.
Most of North Dakota saw another top-10 warmest September on record this year, and in Bismarck, each of the last five Septembers has been in the top 13 warmest.
Additionally, the past week saw a stretch of six days in a row of 80s, tied for the latest in a year that this has happened.
This all comes as data shows how long-term trends are shaping our new weather normals and shifting our seasons.
“Fall is warming the most of all the seasons, followed by summer, and then winter, and then spring is actually cooling, which I think if you start talking to people, they really notice that cooling trend in the spring in the last 30 or so years. Looking s
