SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Have some empty bottles and cans you're looking to get rid of? Donate them to a good cause this weekend!

Volunteers from Honor Flight Syracuse and TOMRA are accepting bottles and cans on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fundraiser will take place at Destiny USA in the lot at the corner of Solar Street and Hiawatha Boulevard, next to the Embassy Suites. Enter on Solar Street to find the event.

Honor Flight Syracuse will receive 6 cents per can or bottle.

The organization depends entirely on private donations to send veterans to Washington to visit the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifice.
