SPRING PARK, Minn. — If summer was supposed to end around Labor Day, the Twin Cities must've missed the memo.

Temperatures in the 80s this weekend have left many still on boats on Lake Minnetonka, enjoying one last summer-like weekend before temperatures drop next week.

"Another beautiful day and it's October!" Barry Dolan said, laughing.

"We're thinking of going swimming!" Kate Dolan said.

Plenty of boats, jet skis and wakeboarders were visible from Spring Park's boat launch Friday afternoon.

"Usually by now, there's a lot more, you know, they start coming out," Barry said. "But this year, like, everybody's waiting, taking advantage of it."

The weather is so nice, we'll certainly miss it once we hit 60 degrees in the coming days.
