BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Professional Angler Flint Davis has been indicted by a grand jury after a fatal boat crash that claimed the lives of three men on Smith Lake in April 2025 .
Davis’ charges include three counts of reckless manslaughter, two counts of first-degree assault, reckless operation of a vehicle, and operating without a license.
During a Major League Fishing Tournament on April 16, Davis’ vessel struck a charter fishing boat carrying five people. Davis was competing in the tournament.
Three men - Joey Broom, John Clark, and Jeffrey Little - died as a result of that crash. Two others sustained serious injuries.
