Betty Malo, the wife of The Mavericks frontman Raul Malo, shared an emotional video of her husband on Friday as he continues his battle against cancer.

Malo, who recently announced he has been diagnosed with Leptomeningeal Disease, an incurable cancer of the cerebrospinal fluid and leptomeninges, which are membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord, has not given up. In fact, he just wrapped up his seventh day of radiation, and his wife shared a video of them sitting at their table having a discussion.

“You really get touched, ya know,” Raul Malo said. “Reading about myself, like you never think about yourself that way. And it’s like, ‘Wow, I never really thought about myself in that regard’ Just a guy going through life doing the best I can.”
