MEDINA, Ohio — For the second week in a row, the Norton Panthers have spoiled a team’s homecoming game as they defeated the Cloverleaf Colts, 48-21, on Friday.

Leading the charge for the Panthers was wide receiver and defensive back Buddy Willig, who had two punt return touchdowns. Along with Willig, running back Jason Beverly had 101 rushing yards on 10 attempts, tallying three touchdowns.

Five minutes into the game, Beverly scored a 57-yard rushing touchdown, helping the Panthers come out strong in the first quarter.

“We fought the adversity, we came together, got our blocks done, [and] made it happen,” said Beverly after the win.

With only three minutes left in the first quarter after a blocked field goal, the Panthers scored on a 42-yard passing touchdown from quarterback Trey Kers
