LAKEWOOD, Ohio — St. Edward grabbed the lead in its all-time football series with St. Ignatius on Friday with a 45-31 win .

The Eagles lead the series 33-32-1. That includes the last nine straight.

The first half was a fireworks show, with both teams trading punches early. St. Edward struck first, with a TD pass from Jonny Evanchick to Zach Hackleman within the first 50 seconds of the game.
