ANGLETON, Texas (CW39) — The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said Saturday morning that two children were killed and two others critically injured in a shooting near Angleton earlier today.

According to investigators, the victims were 13, 8, 9, and 4 years old. The 13-year-old and 4-year-old died from their injuries. The 8-year-old and 9-year-old were flown by medical helicopter Life Flight to a hospital in critical condition.

Deputies said that the people they believe to be involved in the shooting have been detained, and there is no threat to the community this morning.
