Angelique Chauvire knew too much about the criminal activities of Kathron “Cuchi” Fortune.

The hulking “Cuchi” seemed to murder at will – from one end of the Caribbean to the other. Business or personal, it didn’t matter to the thug.

Chauvire, 30, had embarked on a grand adventure seven years prior, moving from France to the sunny Caribbean island of Saint-Martin. She worked in a gift shop selling trinkets and soon assimilated into the local culture.

On May 31, 2006, she met her visiting parents for lunch and made plans to hook up at the beach two hours later. Chauvire would never show, nor would she ever be seen alive again.

Her bruised and battered body was discovered two days later by hikers on Dawn Beach on the Dutch side of the island.
