Despite efforts over 11 days to find a still missing six-year-old boy in the Crowsnest Pass wilderness, the child’s family continues to hold out hope he’ll be found.

Vanessa Marie Collett, administrator of a Facebook page called “Bring Darius MacDougall home,” said Friday the family is still hopeful the Lethbridge boy will be located.

The extensive search efforts began after Crowsnest Pass RCMP got a report of a missing boy at 11:33 a.m. on Sept. 21, a Sunday morning. The family had looked for Darius for about an hour first, police said.
