LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Celebrating its 69th year, the St. James Court Art Show in Louisville once again brings together nationally recognized juried fine art and contemporary crafts.
The Show began in 1957. Executive Director Howard Rosenberg said it was to raise money to fix the St. James Court fountain.
“Twenty artists hung their work. They made about $150 to fix the fountain. And that was the start of the St. James Court Art Show,” said Rosenberg.
The art show has grown to feature 600 artists from across the country and Canada.
Karri Jamison is a Wisconsin artist who won the founder’s award last year for her whimsical nature paintings.
Jamison travels all over the nation, but the S. James Court Art Show is her favorite.
